Especially white sneakers get dirty soon and cleaning them can be real pain! Also wearing dirty sneakers for entire day can be very annoying but that doesn’t mean you should stop wearing them; you can certainly give them for professional cleaning but you can clean them at home too using a simple ingredient- baking soda!

HOW TO WHITEN SNEAKERS WITH BAKING SODA

SHAVING CREAM AND BAKING SODA

In a bowl, add some shaving cream and to it, add in equal quantity of baking soda. Give it a good mix and apply on your wet sneakers. If your sneakers are very dirty, you can soak them in cold water for an hour prior to this step. Let it sit for good 2-3 hours after you are done applying the mixture. Now, using a clean toothbrush, scrub your sneakers and rinse them off.

BAKING SODA AND VINEGAR

In a bowl, add some vinegar and to it, add in equal quantity of baking soda. It will fizz, wait until it stops. Soak your sneakers in cold water for an hour and apply the mixture on it. Let it sit for good 2-3 hours. Now, using a clean toothbrush, scrub your sneakers and rinse them off.

BAKING SODA SOAK

In a tub, add 1 cup of baking soda and essential oil of your choice. Soak the sneakers in this water overnight. Wash them with soapy water and toothbrush the next day.

BAKING SODA AND LEMON

Make a baking soda paste using baking soda and lemon juice. It will start fizzing; let it settle before you use the mixture. Soak your sneakers in cold water for an hour if it is very dirty and apply the mixture on it. Let it sit for good 2-3 hours. Now, using a clean toothbrush, scrub your sneakers and rinse them off.
