Oily skin can be a pain to deal. The accumulation of excess oil on the outer skin layer often leads to whiteheads, blackheads, blind pimples and other skin irritations. Want to have healthy glowing skin without paying for expensive face products? Good news! You can make a fantastic face mask using ingredients you likely already have in your fridge- egg whites! Here is how to make egg white face masks for oily skin:
EGG WHITE LEMON MASK
Whip one egg white, add the juice from half a lemon and mix it well. Apply the mixture on your face, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. This will tighten the skin and soak up excess oil.
EGG WHITE YOGHURT MASK
Take the egg white in a clean bowl. Add 1 tablespoon yoghurt and lightly whisk. Make sure skin in properly cleansed. Rise with warm water to open up the pores. Dip your fingers into egg white mixture and gently apply it on to your skin. If you don’t want to get your hands messy, use a face mask brush. Apply it all over your face in circular upward motion. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes before washing off.
EGG WHITE TEA TREE OIL MASK
Mix 1 egg white and 4 drops of tea tree oil. Stir it well and apply this mixture as a facial mask. Leave for 15 – 20 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Dry the skin and apply moisturizer. Continue applying this facial mask regularly.
EGG WHITE BAKING SODA YOGHURT MASK
Mix 2 tablespoons each of baking soda and fresh lemon juice, 1/4 cup of low fat (fat free) plain yogurt and 3 egg whites. Apply on the affected skin. Let it sit for 20 – 30 minutes to dry. Rinse it off with warm water.
