HOW TO USE HONEY FOR SLEEP

If you are having a hard time sleeping, you probably are insomniac! Factors that can affect your sleep are hectic work schedules, improper sleeping patterns, stress, medications etc. Before you go and seek medical help, here are some ways to use honey to induce restful sleep-

HOW TO USE HONEY FOR SLEEP

Honey tea- In a saucepan, add 1 cup water, 1 butterfly blue pea or camomile tea bag and a tablespoon of raw honey. Add in some cinnamon powder and let it simmer for few minutes. Turn off the flame and strain. Sip slowly while its warm before bedtime.

Honey milk- In a saucepan, add 1 cup milk (almond milk works the best), Pinch of nutmeg, 1 tablespoon pitted dates and a tablespoon of raw honey. Add in some cinnamon powder too if you like and let it simmer for few minutes. Turn off the flame and strain. Sip slowly while its warm before bedtime.

Honey nutmeg syrup- In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon raw honey, 1 teaspoon ghee and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg. Mix it well and consume before bedtime.
