Ginger is one such ingredient that can be used for almost any hair problem, from dandruff to hairloss. Ayurveda totally suggests using ginger for all the hair problems. It can be taken internally awell as used externally, both ways work. Today, I will be sharing some ginger hair mask recipes for all your hair problems:
- – The fatty acids contained in ginger are perfect to care for and restore weak or thin hair.
- – This plant is a powerful ingredient that helps stimulate blood flow to the scalp. This improves hair growth.
- – Reduces/treats dandruff when masks are used regularly.
- – Makes hair soft, smooth and shiny.
GINGER COCONUT MASK
You need 1 tablespoon ginger powder and 2 tablespoons coconut oil and 3 tablespoons aloe vera gel. Combine all the three ingredients in a bowl and give it a good mix until there are no lumps. Massage this mixture into your scalp and keep it for 3 hours. You can also keep it overnight if you have severely damaged hair and dandruff problems. Wash as usual the next morning using mild shampoo.
Note: You might feel a bit of warming effect on the scalp but that is ok.
GINGER LEMON MASK
This mask is useful in treating severe dandruff problem with itchy scalp. Blend two tablespoons of grated ginger with ½ tablespoons of olive oil and 1 ½ teaspoons of coconut oil. Add ½-teaspoon of lemon juice and mix the ingredients well. Apply the mixture to the scalp. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash off with mild shampoo.
GINGER CUCUMBER MASK
Cucumber contains sulphur, silica and vitamin A that help in hair growth along with ginger. You need 2 medium sized cucumbers and 2 tablespoons ginger powder. If you don’t have powder, you can use ginger juice or grated ginger. Mix up the ingredients and blend using a blender adding water as needed. Apply the paste on your scalp and leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes and then wash off with mild shampoo.
