Pots and pans can develop dark spots at the bottom with regular and frequent usage. It might get tough to clean as they do not simply get cleaned with regular washing technique. It might need some additional cleaning and tips which I have compiled for you all. Read on to know how to clean the bottom of pots and pans:
- You can use a powder detergent and crumbled aluminium foil. Make a paste of the detergent powder and apply it on the bottom of the pan. Scrub it with crumbled aluminium foil and the spots should go away. Repeat till all the spots disappear.
- Fill a container with water, add up to six Alka-Seltzer tablets, and let the pot/pan soak for an hour. The stains should easily scrub away.
- Discoloured bottom of aluminium pots will sparkle again if you clean them with a mixture of 2 tablespoons cream of tartar dissolved into 1 quart (1 litre) water. Bring the mixture to a boil inside the pot and boil for 10 minute.
- Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water. Apply it on the bottom of the pan and let it sit for 10 minutes. Wash as usual paying special attention to the bottom and scrub till the spots are gone.
