Aloe Vera Gel- Aloe vera has great hydrating and moisturizing properties. Aloe also has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and hair softening properties. Helps add shine and improves overall hair texture.
Shea Butter- Shea butter is a well-known skin and hair moisturizer and is great for very dry hair! Seals in moisture, prevents brittleness and hair breakage and makes hair manageable and silky. Reduces frizz and prevents split ends.
RECIPE FOR ALOE HAIR BUTTER:
Things you need-
- 1/4 cup commercial organic aloe vera gel
- 1/3 cup shea butter
In a bowl add shea butter and microwave it for not more than 5 seconds. you only want to soften it so its easy to whip. Add in aloe vera gel and start whipping. Continue whipping until you get a fluffy butter. You can add in few drops lavender oil or any essential oil you like for added benefits. Transfer to a jar and your aloe hair butter is ready. Take a peanut sized amount on your palms and rub it between your palms to warm it up and melt. Massage across your hair strands after a hair wash while it is a little damp. Comb through and let your hair air-dry.
