It is essential to condition your hair once every week or even more depending on hoe damages your hair is. There are a lot of conditioners available commercially that do work but also contain harmful ingredients that are best avoided. Natural hair conditioners work equally good or ever better and have no harmful effects, one such natural conditioner is yogurt. Here is how to use yogurt for soft, shiny and healthy hair along with its benefits:


Yogurt is a natural hair conditioner, thanks to its moisturizing and hydrating properties.

Yogurt provides the hair follicles with essential nutrients strengthening them, thus helping reduce hair fall.

Yogurt is naturally anti-fungal and helps ward off dandruff-causing fungus. This helps to prevent and treat dandruff problems.

Yogurt in a long run makes hair shiny, healthy and manageable.



To make this deep conditioning mask, you need 2 tablespoons natural homemade yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon coconut oil.  Mix the ingredients in a bowl properly until it is well combined. Add some milk to if you wish or if you have dry hair or want to adjust the consistency. Apply the mask all over your hair and scalp and let it sit for 2 hours. Shampoo it off as usual.


To make a conditioner, you need 2 tablespoons thick and fresh yogurt, 4-5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and 2 tablespoons coconut milk. Mix the three ingredients in a bowl really well making sure there are no yogurt lumps in it. Use it as a regular conditioner after shampooing. Let it sit for 5 minutes and wash off using plain water.
