DIY BATH SALTS RECIPES FOR SINUS INFECTION

Nasal congestion in simple terms is known as a ‘blocked nose’ or ‘stuffy nose’. This happens when there is swelling in the nasal cavity, leading to a buildup of mucus. As a result, it becomes difficult to breathe normally. There are many ways to clear congestion; bath soak with specific ingredients can help you clear the sinus congestion and make you feel better! Bath soaks not only help relive congestions but also give you relief from body aches associated with cold and makes you feel fresh.  Here I am with some bath soak recipes that will help you sooth the congestion:

DIY Sinus Congestion Bath SoakRECIPE 1:

Things you need: 1 cup of Epsom salt, 1/2 cup of baking soda, Peppermint essential oils, Eucalyptus Radiata essential oils and green food colouring (optional).

Method:

Mix the baking soda and Epsom salt together.  Once it’s mixed, add in the food colouring if you wish.  All this does is make it look colourful, otherwise it will be white. Then add 5 drops of peppermint oil and 10 drops of eucalyptus oil.  Mix it all up, and put it in a jar. Just draw a warm bath and put a couple of scoops of this in with the water.

RECIPE 2:

Things you need: 2 cups Epsom salt, 1 cup baking soda, 4 drops orange oil, 6 drops lavender oil and 6 drops tea tree oil.

Method:

Mix the Epsom salts and baking soda together in a bowl with a spoon. Stir essential oils into the baking soda and salt mixture until well incorporated. Take your usual bath or shower before this therapeutic bath so that your body is clean. Add warm water into your tub that is at a comforting temperature. Fill the tub with water and add the bath salt mixture.
