During summers, heading to the beach sounds fun until you get a sunburn rash! Sunburn is not just limited to your skin, you could get ne on the scalp t especially if you have short hair or thin hair. Essential oils are the purest forms of ingredients and are very potent; they have great effects when used correctly. Majority of summer problems can be treated with using essential oils including sunburn, acne, oily skin, scalp buildup, heat boils etc. Peppermint essential oil is one cooling and healing oil that can be used to treat scalp sunburn. Below are its benefits along with ways to use:

With shampoo: Add few drops of peppermint essential oil in a mild shampoo and use it.
Peppermint yogurt scalp mask: In a bowl, take ½ cup thick yogurt and to it, add 1 teaspoon of mint paste and few drops of peppermint essential oil. Give it a god mix and apply on sunburnt scalp. Do not massage, just gently apply and shampoo it off after 1 hour.
Peppermint green tea rinse: Brew some green tea and t it, add few drops of peppermint essential oil. Stir it well before using. After shampooing and conditioning, pour the solution on your scalp and hair and massage very gently and slowly. Tie a high bun and let it work for 5 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water and you are done.
