We all are aware of milk beauty benefits. It is good for the bones but did you know it is good for skin too? Milk sooth the soul, makes skin soft and smooth and also detoxes. Cleopatra was well known for taking her milk baths, which she often infused with honey or herbs. She was wise to do so as she knew milk is great for the skin, and now we too know it! here are some simple milk recipes you too can try just like Cleopatra:


Here is a list of milk bath blends, try whichever you like depending on what ingredients you have at present:

BLEND 1: 1 ½ cups dry powdered milk or liquid milk, ¼ cup baking soda , ¼ cup Epsom salt and ¼ cup warmed honey.

BLEND 2: 2 cups of powdered milk (goat, cow or buttermilk), 1 cup of epsom salt (optional) and 1 cup of sea salt (optional).

BLEND 3: 1 cup powdered coconut milk, ½ cup Epsom salt and 10 drops lavender essential oil.

BLEND 4: 1 cup milk powder, ½ cup green tea leaves, ½ cup bentonite clay powder.

BLEND 5: 2 cups whole powdered Milk, 1/2 cup cornstarch (also called corn flour) and 1/4 cup Baking Soda

BLEND 6: ½ cup buttermilk powder, ½ cup whole milk powder, 2 teaspoons turmeric powder, ½ cup Epsom salt.

BLEND 7: ¼ cup goat’s milk powder, ¼ cup almond milk powder, ¼ cup yoghurt powder and ½ cup baking soda.

BLEND 8: 1 cup cornstarch, 1 ½ cups powdered milk (any milk) and 1 cup oatmeal.

BLEND 9: 1 cup powdered milk, 1 cup baking soda, 2 teaspoons cornstarch and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar.

BLEND 10: 2 cups powdered milk, 1 tablespoon dried orange peel, 2 teaspoons, dried lavender flowers and 2 teaspoons dried rosemary.

BLEND 11: 1 cup coconut milk, ¼ cup honey crystals, 1/3 cup dry lavender powder and ½ cup Epsom salt.

Choose any recipe from the above and combine all the ingredients. Store it in an air tight container or make a tea bag using muslin cloth (tie the ingredients in muslin cloth). Put around 2-3 tablespoons in your bath tub or if you are using a tea bag, dispense it in the water.
