Tomato sauce stains are usually very stubborn and take forever to come off. They form nasty dark stains that attract dirt, ants and become a breeding ground for bacteria. Fresh stains are usually easy to remove but once the stain sets, it can become difficult to clean it completely. Tomato stains usually happen on clothes you wear, on the carpet and furniture and here are some ways to remove it:


To remove tomato sauce stain from fabric, you need a liquid dishwashing liquid and a toothbrush. Wet the stained area a bit with little water and liberally apply dishwashing liquid over the stain. Let it sit for 30 minutes and begin scrubbing the area with wet toothbrush. If the fabric is sensitive and thin, you may also use your fingers instead. Rub the two sides of fabric against each other and rinse with cold water. Repeat if needed until all the4 stain comes off. Launder as usual.


To remove tomato sauce stains from carpet, you need 1 tablespoon of liquid hand washing detergent or any other detergent too would do and 2 cups cold water. Add the liquid detergent in 2 cups of cold water. Pour the solution over the tomato stain and blot it with a sponge or paper towel. Repeat this until all the stain comes off. When the stain is no more, place a paper towel over it and apply pressure to completely blot the water. Let the cleaned area air dry.


This technique can be used to remove stains from both wooden and leather furniture. You require 1 tablespoon of liquid hand washing detergent or any other detergent and 1 cup hot water. Add the liquid hand washing detergent in water and shake it to obtain foam. Take the foam on a cloth and rub it on the stain. Repeat several times to completely remove the stain. Clean using damp cloth.
