Having dark elbows is a common issue that can make one self-conscious about wearing short-sleeve dresses. Mix plain yoghurt and white vinegar in equal quantities and apply it on the elbows. Let it sit for 30 minutes and wash off using cool water. Follow up with a good moisturizer. Repeat this daily until you see the elbows lightened.


Prepare a thick paste using baking soda and milk. Use this paste to scrub the elbows for 2-3 minutes and keep it for additional 5 minutes. Wash off with cool water and follow up with a moisturizer. Do this every alternate days to keep the area well exfoliated and to remove dead skin build up that causes darkness.


Almond oil is rich in skin-nourishing properties that can help maintain an even skin tone. Massage your elbows with warm almond oil for about 5 minutes daily before going to bed as a night treatment. Within a few days, you should notice improvement.


Make a paste with turmeric and milk and massage it on your elbows. Let it sit for 30 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow with a moisturizer and do this once or twice every week.


Lemon has natural bleaching and exfoliating properties. Extract the juice of 1 lemon and mix it with 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply it on the affected areas and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash the mixture off with lukewarm water and moisturize.
