Cleaning furniture is certainly not an easy task! Especially furniture made up of wood or leather. Furniture often requires a professional to repair especially if the scratches are severe and deep. You certainly wouldn’t want to spend on professional help for minor scratches or just to make them look clean and polished- here I am with tricks to polish your furniture using olive oil:
OLIVE OIL+COFFEE GROUNDS
Dark coloured furniture can be polished using coffee grounds and olive oil. Take some coffee grounds (used or unused) in a bowl and add in little olive oil enough to make a thick paste. Use this paste to rub the furniture surface and wipe it off using a dry cloth.
A combination of sunscreen and olive oil can be used to remove any stains and dirt from the furniture’s surface. Mix a bit of olive oil into sunscreen and coat the furniture’s surface with a thick layer of the prepared mixture, and rub it in a circular motion using your fingertips. Continue doing this until all the surface looks clean and well-polished.
OLIVE OIL+FACIAL WIPES
Facial wipes are naturally moist and also have cleansing properties. Olive oil adds a nice shine to your furniture and also makes it look brand new. Grab some facial wipes and fold it to make a square. Add few drops of olive oil on it and use it to rub the furniture surface. Finally, finish with a dry tissue or paper towel and you are done.
OLIVE OIL+LEMON JUICE
In a bowl, take 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil and add in juice of 1 whole lemon. Mix it and dip a cotton soft cloth in it and use it to rub your furniture’s surface. Finally, rub the surface with a dry cotton cloth and you are done!
