It is often a better choice to treat acne and scars with natural products as you keep chemicals and irritants away from acne thereby helping heal acne and scars too. It should always be the first type of treatment to consider when you want to take the best care of your skin. One of the best things I’ve found to heal acne and acne scars is extra virgin coconut oil. Here are some ways to use it for acne n scars:

GET RID OF ACNE AND ACNE SCARS WITH COCONUT OILBENEFITS

  • The coconut oil actually penetrates the skin and helps the body get rid of the impurities, and therefore acne, while the toxins are expelled from the skin.
  • The anti-oxidants in coconut oil protect against the free radicals that cause acne while promoting the formation of new, healthy skin cells.
  • Coconut oil supports the production of collagen, which improves skin’s elasticity, keeping it smooth, firm, and scar free.
  • The lauric acid in coconut oil is anti-fungal and anti-viral, so it kills the bacteria that cause acne.

RECIPES

Recipe 1:

Mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil with ½ tablespoon of brown sugar to make a paste. Massage into skin with wet fingers. Leave on 5 minutes, rinse with cool water and pat dry. Repeat 2 times a week. Brown sugar exfoliates to remove dead skin cells.

Recipe 2:

Scoop about a quarter of a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil into the palm of your hand and let it melt as it comes up to body temperature. With your fingertips, massage oil directly onto scarred skin and let it soak in. There is no need to wash coconut oil away as the vitamins and essential fatty acids will continue to work and improve skin health as long as you wear it. However, if the oil is too heavy for your comfort, leave it on for at least thirty minutes before removing with an all-natural cleanser.

Recipe 3:

Combine 1 tbsp coconut oil, 2 teaspoons raw honey and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice thoroughly in a small mixing bowl. Apply a thick coat of the mixture onto your clean face. Allow the mixture to sink in for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Pat dry with a soft towel.
