Tea tree oil is a well-known disinfectant and has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Due to its antimicrobial properties, tea tree oil is used in skin as well as hair care. Never use tea tree oil directly on the scalp or skin, always use it diluted. Here, you can use olive oil to dilute tea tree oil. In a bowl, take lukewarm olive oil and add few drops of tea tree oil to it. Apply it on your scalp and hair and wear a shower cap and go to sleep. Wash hair the next morning with mild shampoo and condition as usual.


Take some coconut oil in a bowl and add few drops tea tree oil to it. Put 1 or 2 drops of tea tree oil mixture onto a cotton ball and dab it gently on the affected area on scalp. Leave it on for a few hours or overnight. Those who have sensitive skin may reduce the concentration of tea tree oil.


Greasy hair can look dull, limp and lifeless, and it may be more difficult to manage. To treat greasy hair, try washing with a gentle shampoo mixed with few drops of tea tree oil, this will help control sebum overtime. Take out the pulp of banana, mash it well and add in a tbsp of almond oil and few drops of tea tree oil. Blend it well and apply it on your hair right from the roots to the tip. Leave it on your hair for 30 mins and wash your hair.
