DIY: NATURAL DISINFECTANT SPRAY

Going organic is a trend these days. We have taken up all organic foods, natural remedies, stopped using toxic plastic containers, chemical based makeup etc. When we decide to live our life in a healthy way by eradicating all the toxins, why do we always forget toxic cleaners that are lying around the house?? Here are some natural disinfectant sprays that are safe and can be used all around the house:

DIY: NATURAL DISINFECTANT SPRAYTEA TREE SPRAY

Add 10-20 drops tea tree oil in1 cup water and pour it in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray on surfaces, let stand for 15 minutes, then wipe with a microfiber cloth or sponge. Rinse with clean water and wipe again. A natural antiseptic and fungicide, tea tree oil will kill the mould and help prevent growth and also disinfect all surfaces.

EUCALYPTUS VINEGAR SPRAY

Vinegar and eucalyptus essential oil together works great in disinfecting any surface. Mix up ½ cup water and ½ cup white distilled vinegar and pout in a spray bottle. Add few drops of eucalyptus essential oil to it, shake it well and use it as a cleaner, disinfectant, and even as a purifier during cold and flu season.

Tip: If you don’t like the smell, you may add few drops of lemon or lavender essential oil to it.

CITRUS ALOE SPRAY

You need ½ cup aloe vera gel, ¼ cup witch hazel, 1 cup water and 10 drops orange essential oil. Mash up aloe vera gel thoroughly so as to obtain a free flowing gel with no lumps. Now add the gel in witch hazel and mix it well. Add water to it along with orange essential oil and again stir it well. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, shake it well and spray it on surfaces.
