We all know tanning under a hot sun can be bad for your skin and ultimately for your health. Tanning beds aren’t the greatest alternative and self-tanners! Purchasing a self-tanning product is the easy solution, but some of us don’t have the extra cash to spend $40 on bronze in a bottle. I have a solution here- DIY black tea self-tanner.

DIY BLACK TEA SELF-TANNER BENEFITS:

HOW TO MAKE:

  • 4-5 black tea bags
  • 2 cups boiling hot water
  • ¼ cup sesame oil

Method-

Pour the boiling water on the tea bags.  Allow the tea to steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove the teabags and put ¼ cup of the tea into a blender.  Add lanolin and sesame oil.  Blend all of the ingredients on slow speed making sure to slowly add the rest of the tea.  Apply this homemade remedy for self-tanning to your skin.  It will last until your next shower or until your skin come in contact with water. You can either use a sponge to apply this or spray it on a couple of times, layering it on using a spray bottle.
