CLEAN YOUR BATH TUB THE NON-TOXIC WAY

Bathroom is the most used place in the house and is very much prone to getting dirty, hence needs thorough cleaning. Commercial cleaners are toxic and can have negative effects on surroundings. DIY cleaners are equally or more effective and are easy to make. Bath tubs may get slimy and slippery with time; here are the ways to clean your bath tub with only 2 ingredients:

CLEAN YOUR BATH TUB THE NON-TOXIC WAY

GRAPEFRUIT + SALT

You can clean your bathtub naturally using grapefruit and salt. While the acidic property of grapefruit will help get rid of grease, the small salt particles will work as a scrubber.  Cut a grapefruit in half and sprinkle some salt on the grapefruit. Use it to scrub your bathtub, working your way from the inside outward. Finally, thoroughly rinse the bathtub with water.

BAKING SODA + LEMON JUICE

Remove light hard-water deposits as well as slime marks from the bath tub without scratching the bath tub using baking soda and lemon.  Generously sprinkle baking soda onto the entire tub. Wait 10 minutes before you spray lemon juice and scrub the bath tub with a soft sponge. Rinse the sink with water and you are done!

TEA TREE OIL + ALOE VERA GEL

Add 10-20 drops tea tree oil with 1 cup water and 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel in a spray bottle.   Spray the tub surface, let stand for 15 minutes, then wipe with a microfiber cloth or sponge. Rinse with clean water and wipe again. A natural antiseptic and fungicide, tea tree oil will kill the meld and help prevent growth.
