White footwear looks good but maintaining it can be a real pain! White always attracts dirt and your favourite white sneakers are no exception. Look no further than your kitchen or home to clean your precious white sneakers. Here are some easy ways to clean your white shoes/sneakers effectively including the stubborn and nastiest of stains:
Gentle shampoos can gently remove the stains and dirt from your white sneakers including the oily stains (in case you accidently dropped your food on it). Dab some gentle shampoo on your sneakers or specific spots and grab a toothbrush to scrub it. After scrubbing for few minutes, let the shampoo stay for 1-2 minutes and sprinkle some water on it. Scrub it again and wash off using water.
Start with wiping and dusting the shoe to remove surface dirt. Add some liquid soap in a tub full of water and keep it aside. Wet the shoes under tap water and rub solid soap on it. Now dip the shoe in water and keep it soaked for few hours (depending on how dirty the shoe is). Remove the shoes and scrub it using toothbrush. Finally wash it properly using water.
BAKING SODA+HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
You need to make a cleaning paste using 1 tablespoon baking soda, ½ tablespoon water and ½ tablespoon hydrogen peroxide. Now, wipe your shoe to remove surface dirt and apply the paste evenly on the shoe or stain (increase the quantity of paste depending on the surface area to be cleaned). Now keep your shoes in sun for 4-5 hours. The paste would be dry and cracked- flaking off. Scrub it away with a toothbrush and your shoes would be clean!
Toothpaste can be used to clean any type of sneaker- leather or suede or any other type. Simply grab a toothbrush, take some toothpaste on it (or apply on the shoe surface) and brush your shoe. Do this gently and until all the dirt comes off clean. You are done!
